ANNISTON, Ala. – Wrapping up the final day of the OVC Weekend at Jacksonville State, Morehead State beach volleyball picked up another pair of victories to finish as the only Ohio Valley Conference team to go undefeated on the opening weekend of the 2021 OVC Beach Volleyball season.

Morehead State took matches from Austin Peay and Jacksonville State by identical scores of 3-2, winning in flights three through five versus Austin Peay and flights one through three against Jacksonville State.

Overall, the Eagles took 13 of 20 flights on the weekend with all five primary pairs winning at least two flights while three of the five primary pairs capturing three flight victories.

Next up for Morehead State is a series of matches versus in-state rival Eastern Kentucky, including three total matches, two of which take place at Fazolis Breadstick Beach. The Eagles and Colonels meet for a single, non-conference meeting on Tuesday in Richmond, Ky. before returning to Morehead for a pair of matches Wednesday.
