Track Set for Second Trip to Oxford, Ohio This Season for a Showing in the Redhawk Invitational

MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State Track continues its season with an appearance at the Redhawk Invitational hosted by Miami (Ohio). This will be the second trip to Oxford, Ohio for the Eagles after running at the Blizzard Buster on March 20.
The meet is set for Saturday, April 24, and will be held at the George L. Rider Track. Running events begin with the Women's 5000 meter at 10:30 a.m. and conclude with the Men's 4x400 relay at 2:25 p.m.
MSU is most recently coming off a showing at the Rick Erdmann Twilight hosted by Eastern Kentucky that featured several top-10 performances by the Eagles including a first-place finish by
Toby Cook in the Men's 1500 meter race.
Other notable performances for Morehead State this season include three record-breaking runs for
Kilani Harvey in the 60 meter, 100 meter, and 200 meter dash along with an MSU program-best finish in the 10,000 meter run by
Jarrett Mattingly that earned him OVC Track Athlete of the Week.
After this weekend, the Eagles will head to Lexington, Ky., to run in the Kentucky Open on April 30 and May 1. This will be the first meet hosted by the University of Kentucky in which MSU has competed since the Kentucky Relays on May 5, 2018.
