MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State Soccer's 2020 season comes to a close on Tuesday as it travels to Nashville, Tenn. to face Belmont. The match at E.S. Rose Park is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
The Eagles are coming off one of the most thrilling victories in recent memory as
Colleen Swift's penalty kick in the final minutes of double overtime propelled MSU to a 3-2 win over Austin Peay on Senior Day. The hosting Belmont squad most recently earned its first tie of the season with a 1-1 draw against SIUE.
The Bruins, at best, can only finish fifth in the conference, putting them just out of reach of this season's shortened field for the OVC Tournament. After becoming the lowest seed to ever win the tournament a season ago (#6 seed), Belmont has no opportunity to defend its crown as one of Murray State, SIUE, Southeast Missouri, or UT Martin will represent the OVC in the NCAA Tournament this season.

NOTABLE
• In the matchup last season, MSU defeated the Bruins, 1-0, on a last-minute goal by
Nicole Palmer.
• The Eagles are currently sixth in the OVC in both saves (46) and saves per game (5.11). They are also tied for sixth in the conference in shots (97) and shots per game (10.78).
• Redshirt sophomore
Colleen Swift and
Eva Kiper lead MSU with 13 total shots. The former netted the game-winning penalty kick in Morehead State's 2OT win over Austin Peay while the latter led the Eagles with four shots (three on goal) for the second consecutive match. Kiper's one goal/one assist performance vs. Austin Peay coincidentally marked the first occurrence of this feat for Morehead State since Swift did so on October 12, 2018, in a 2-0 victory over Tennessee Tech.
• Goalkeeper
Michelle Jerantowski's current GAA of 1.02 this season would be the second-best in program history. The junior came into Friday's match against Austin Peay at halftime and didn't allow a goal in over 60 minutes on the pitch. Jerantowski sits in fifth place in the OVC with a 0.821 save percentage. She's also tied for sixth in the conference in saves (32) while being seventh in saves per game (4.57).
• The Eagles are one of the most aggressive teams in the conference as they are currently fourth in the OVC with 88 fouls while being tied for second with five yellow cards.
• Morehead State's three goals scored against Austin Peay on Friday marked the most for the Eagles since a 3-1 victory over Jacksonville State on October 14, 2018.
