MOREHEAD, Ky
. –  Morehead State Soccer looks to bounce back from a disappointing defeat as it takes on regional rival Marshall for the first time since 2012 at home on Sunday at 2 pm ET.

The Eagles have had a sustained offensive attack, but have struggled to finish, with only three goals on 35 shots this season. This disparity was highlighted Thursday night in their 1-0 loss against Evansville, where the Eagles were shutout despite controlling the pace of the game and outshooting the Purple Aces 13-8.

The Eagles have been strong defensively at home, limiting their opponents to only 3.5 shots on goal through the first two games.

Head coach Warren Lipka commented, "The girls came in better shape than they had in the past, 97 percent of them passed our fitness test, and I think you're seeing the result of that."
