MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Morehead State Rifle, Women's Golf and Men's Track and Field programs have been honored as winners of the 2020-21 Ohio Valley Conference Team Academic Awards.

For rifle, it's the fifth consecutive season winning this prestigious honor, while men's track and field has now claimed three straight. Women's golf has won it in two of the last four years. Rifle has also now won seven overall accolades since the awards program convened in 2004-05. Men's track and field has six team academic awards, and women's golf has three - all in the past six years.

The awards are presented annually in each conference-sponsored sport to the member institution's team with the greatest percentage of its eligible student-athletes who achieved a 3.25 grade point average or higher. Since the program began, Morehead State has earned 45 team academic awards.

Rifle and women's golf both had eight with a 3.25 or better on the OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll, nearly 100 percent of their eligible student-athletes. Men's Track had more than two-thirds with 12 selections.
