MOREHEAD, Ky. -- For the 12th time in her career and second time this season, Morehead State's
Bridget Bessler has been honored as the Ohio Valley Conference Setter of the Week.
Her award marks the 153rd all-time weekly honor from the OVC for the program and fourth this year. Bessler's 12 Setter of the Week awards trails only former teammate
Olivia Lohmeier for the program individual record for weekly honors. Lohmeier had 13 Offensive Player of the Week accolades.
The Hebron, Ky., native helped MSU take down Tennessee State 3-1 and 3-2 this past week by averaging 11.3 assists and 4.1 digs per set. Bessler had a pair of double-doubles, including a career-high 21 digs to go along with 52 assists in Thursday's victory. She came back with 50 more assists and had a team-high 16 digs in the five-set winner Friday.
The OVC leader in assists per set this fall, Bessler ranks fourth in program history with 3,491 career assists.She also has 747 career digs.
