MOREHEAD, KY --The Morehead State volleyball team jumped out to a 1-0 lead, but couldn't hold on and lost 3-1 (25-21, 23-25, 16-25, 16-25) to the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles Wednesday at home at Johnson Arena.
The loss dropped Morehead State's record to 11-12 overall and 7-5 in OVC action. Tech moved to 9-3 in the OVC and 12-12 overall.

» Abby Hulsman had a match-high three aces in the loss.
» Sydney Wyman had a team-high 12 kills for Morehead State and also led with five blocks.
» Morehead State got a team-high 11 digs from Peighton Isley.
» Morehead State attackers were helped by a match-high 41 assists from Bridget Bessler.
» Bessler's 10 digs allowed her to complete her team-leading 11th double-double of the season.
» Morehead State had 27 kills and just eight errors after the second set but hit in the negative in the final two, with 19 kills and 21 attack miscues.
» Taylor Dorsey had a double-double for Tech with 15 kills and a match-high 11 blocks. She has 21 blocks against MSU in her last two matches in Johnson Arena since last fall
How It Happened
SET 1 | The Eagles opened up an early one set to none lead, winning the first set 25-21. Morehead State grabbed the advantage for good at 14-13 in a set that had just one lead change before the Eagles took over in the second half of the stanza. MSU got a solid defensive performance from a front row that blocked four Tennessee Tech attacks in the stanza.
SET 2 | Morehead State fell in set two 25-23 to tie the match 1-1. The Eagles lost set two despite a strong performance on the attacking side. Morehead State put together a .367 attack percentage with 16 kills in the set loss.
SET 3 | Morehead State then lost its second set in a row, falling behind in the match two sets to one. The Eagles dropped the first point and never clawed back into the lead before falling in the set 25-16.
SET 4 | Morehead State lost set four and the match, falling 25-16. The Eagles lost the first point and never took the lead before losing the set.
