RESULTS
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State rifle set its program record for Smallbore standing score Saturday as the team competed against Kentucky and Murray State at the Kentucky Long Rifle Match at UK.
The match was scored with the traditional 5 shooters, count top 4 for NCAA purposes but was also scored with 7 designated shooters counting for the match bragging rights. MSU totaled a 4,660 for NCAA score and had 4,011 overall in Smallbore and 4,077 in Air Rifle.
In Air Rifle,
Grace Weber led the way with a 592, followed up by
Andrew Morris' 587.
Adrianna Beard totaled a 586, while
Bryce Ward was just one point behind her.
Hayden Bell (584),
Holly Freeman (572) and
Danielle Vigil (571) rounded out the seven.
In Smallbore,
Elizabeth Plecity took top honors on the team with a 581.
Cassidy Wilson nearly equaled that with a 580, while Ward fashioned a 576. Morris (573), Freeman (571), Vigil (569) and Beard (561) were the others.Â
The action was the final match in 2022 for the Eagles. They'll return on Jan. 14, 2023 at home versus Nebraska.
