MOREHEAD, Ky. -- A quartet of Morehead State volleyball student-athletes earned spots on the All-Ohio Valley Conference Teams, as announced on the eve of the OVC Tournament.

Senior setter Bridget Bessler became the third player in program history to earn four consecutive First-Team All-OVC honors. Fellow senior Abby Hulsman also garnered First-Team accolades. Sophomore Irene Wogenstahl and junior Sydney Wyman were named to the Second-Team.

Morehead State has now had 62 all-time first-team honors across 38 different players. The Eagles added to their second-team program totals now with 22 players earning 27 accolades. Overall, the program has been bestowed 110 total All-OVC awards since 1983, across 79 different athletes.

From Hebron, Ky., Bessler is the third setter in program history to reach 4,000+ career assists. She enters the tournament with 4,018 career handouts. Bessler joins former teammate Olivia Lohmeier and Dayle Hamontree Harms as the only trio to be crowned First-Team four straight seasons. Two other former Eagles earned it three times each.

Bessler also owns the program record for OVC weekly awards. She earned 15 OVC Setter of the Week accolades in her career, eclipsing the 13 Offensive Player of the Week honors Lohmeier (two-time OVC Offensive Player of the Year) garnered. She leads the conference in assists per set at 10.17. In addition, she recorded 15 double-doubles to lead the team. Bessler had an assist-dig double-double in 10 of the final 14 regular-season matches with two of those four seeing her total nine digs in the match.

Hulsman, an outside hitter from Cincinnati, Ohio, recorded a team-high 304 kills (3.01/set) in the regular season. She ranks eighth in the conference in kills per set. Hulsman also generated double-digit kills in 20 matches, including 13 of the final 15. She will finish her career with more than 900 career kills.

Wogenstahl, a middle blocker from Crestview Hills, Ky., set the program single-match block assists record with 13 against Southeast Missouri on Nov. 11. Wogenstahl enters the tournament with 111 total blocks, ranking fourth in the league in blocks per set (1.12). She managed to record 2+ blocks in 18 of the final 19 matches. In addition, she finished the regular-season ranked fifth in the OVC in hitting percentage at .289 and hit above .300 in seven of the final 10 matches.

Wyman, a middle blocker from Auberry, Calif., who transferred from Nevada for this year, closed the regular season with at least one block in 15 straight matches. She also recorded double-digit kills in nine of the final 15. Wyman averaged 2.29 kills per set and hit .273 overall. But, in eight separate matches, she recorded a hitting efficiency of .350 or better.
