SENIOR SPOTLIGHT
Fredrionna Adams, a 5-foot-5 guard from Evansville, Ind., has been a defensive asset this season. After battling back from an injury that cost her the 2020-21 season, Adams has become one of Morehead State's most consistent point guards and a high energy presence on the team. Adams scored a career-high 13 points against Belmont earlier this year, and has racked up 22 steals and 24 assists.
Terri Smith is the iron woman of the team, averaging over 35 minutes per game and at one point, was in the top 5 in the country in average minutes played. The SEMO transfer is also a lethal three point shooter, which she has shown multiple times this season, most notably in her career-best game against Austin Peay, which saw Smith score 23 points and connect on seven three pointers.
Julan McDonald came to Morehead State from Memphis, and has been one of their best scorers and defensive presences in conference play. The Toronto, Canada native has started in eight games this season and has reached double figures on six occasions, including a career-high 22 points against Austin Peay. McDonald has also recorded 25 blocks this season, which leads the team and is third most in the OVC.
Tyler Moore has appeared in 42 games for the Eagles over the last two seasons, starting in 27 of those. In 2020-21, she was named OVC Newcomer of the Week after scoring 44 points over three games, including a career-high 24 against Murray State. Moore has continued to be a leader on and off the floor for the team, and has made 67 three pointers in her career, including leading the team in long range shots last season.
