MOREHEAD, Ky. – Tuesday's scheduled home softball games with Shawnee State have been canceled due to weather and field conditions. The doubleheader will not be made up.

"With all of the winter weather we have had and the rain that was forecast today, we decided to go ahead and cancel it, "said Paul Rhodes, Tickets and Facility Manager.

Morehead State (0-9) is slated to host Shawnee State (4-0) later this year, April 13. That doubleheader will start at 1 p.m. and be broadcast on ESPN+.

The Eagles new home opener will be Tuesday, Mar. 8 against Butler. It also will be a doubleheader with the first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m. It too will be broadcast on ESPN+.

MSU will be off for 12 days before returning for the UE Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Mar. 5-6 in Evansville, Ind. The Eagles will face Oakland (10 a.m.) and host Evansville (12:30 p.m.) on the opening day, and then Green Bay (10 a.m.) and Bowling Green (3 p.m.) to close out the weekend.
