MOREHEAD, Ky. --
After four games in Georgia to open the season, the Morehead State Eagles are headed home to Allen Field for their first home games of the year versus Canisius. The teams will play a four-game set over three days beginning Friday at 3 p.m. ET, with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., before a Sunday matinee to finish the series at 1 p.m.

All four games will be available on ESPN+, and live stats will be available as well.

NOTABLE
  • Morehead State's win versus Kennesaw State on Sunday saw the Eagles post their highest amount of runs scored (17) since scoring 17 against Murray State in April of last season.
  • Transfer outfielder Roman Kuntz exploded for three hits and four RBI during Sunday's game, including a two-run home run over the scoreboard in the fifth inning, sparking the offense to score five runs in the frame.
  • Jackson Feltner started slow in the first two games of the series before heating up in the final two games against the Owls. Most notably, Feltner went deep twice on Sunday, including a no-doubter over the left field wall in the fifth inning. He also smacked a two-run double down the left field line in the sixth inning that gave the Eagles an eight-run advantage.
  • Feltner was named OVC Player of the Week for the first time in his career. He is the first recipient of the award this season.
  • Starting pitcher Matt Bettio notched his first win of the season Sunday, only giving up two runs in his outing. He also showed off an impressive breaking ball, which caught two Kennesaw State hitters looking, as he finished with five strikeouts on the day.
  • Veteran left-hander John Bakke made his first appearance of the season on Sunday afternoon, racking up five strikeouts and not allowing any of the seven batters he faced to reach base safely.
  • The Golden Griffins of Canisius College started their season in the Snowbird Classic in Port Charlotte, Fla., where they managed to split a four-game set with Pittsburgh.
