MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State's Beach Volleyball team opens their season in Loveland, Ohio on Saturday. The Eagles will host Liberty and Lincoln Memorial at the Grand Sands Volleyball complex.

 The Eagles are predicted to finish second in the OVC this season. However, they are looking to build upon last season's OVC championship success with the additions of Maycie Welborn, Bella Williams, Peighton Isley and Raegan Alexander.

The Eagles also return Allison Whitten, who won OVC Pair of the Year last season finishing with a record of 12-2. Along with Whitten, the Eagles welcome back Olivia Lohmeier, who is a two-time OVC indoor player of the year, and finished last season with a record of 10-4 teaming with beach-only player Trinity Miller. Also Anya Reinhard and Margaret Musselman had a respectable 9-5 mark at No. 3 pairing.

Bridget Bessler fashioned a nearly perfect record last season (13-1) at No. 5 with partner Taylor Hodges.

After opening weekend, the Eagles will be off for two weeks before returning to action March 12-13 at the College of Charleston Beach Classic in South Carolina.
