MOREHEAD, Ky. – For the third time this season, Jada Claude has been named OVC Newcomer of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. 

Claude led the Eagles in scoring for the week, averaging nearly 20 points per game, as well as pulling down 7.5 boards per game. Claude also recorded her seventh double-double on the year, which ties her for the most double-doubles in the OVC this season. 

Claude also set numerous season-highs throughout the week, including a season-high eight free throws made against Tennessee Tech and a career-high 24 points against Tennessee State Monday.  

The sophomore transfer now has four 20+ point performances this season and has reached double-figures in thirteen of her last fourteen games. 
 
The Eagles and Claude travel to conference-leading Belmont Thursday, tip-off is slated for 6:00 p.m. ET.
