MOREHEAD, Ky. – For the first time this season and second time in her collegiate career, MacKenzie Neal has been named OVC Co-Female Golfer of the Week, the league announced Thursday.

The Richmond, Ky, native received the honor from the league after an impressive week at the Mid-American Challenge, which saw Neal lead her team to a 5th place finish and a 3-1 overall record.

Neal herself won all four of her matches, tying the program record for the most wins in a single match play event, and her perfect run now gives her nine match play pairing victories, which is the second most in program history.

Head coach Stephanie Barker had high praise for Neal's performance. "MacKenzie was phenomenal. It was tough conditions in Florida, especially on day two, but MacKenzie had four great performances to help lead our team."

Neal and The Eagles return to the links Feb. 28- March 1 at the Rivertowne Invitational in Charleston, S.C.
