MOREHEAD, Ky. –
After a late winter storm postponed Sunday's opening round in Sevierville, Morehead State men's golf concluded play Tuesday afternoon at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate. The Eagles, who finished fourth in the tournament, fashioned rounds of 289-282—571.

As a team, Morehead State had the second best scoring average on par 4s and every single Eagle shot at least one round at even par or better.

Fifth-year Zac Viminitz led the Eagles, tying for 9th. Viminitz fashioned rounds of 71-69—140, and his three under par score in the second round, featuring an eagle on the seventh hole, was the lowest of anyone on the team in the tournament.

Fellow fifth-year Ryan Gillum also carded an eagle in his final round. Gillum, who tied for 19th, led the team in par 4 scoring and was tied for 8th overall in the tournament with a -2.

Cameron Travis opened the tournament with three birdies in his first seven holes en route to a Ā Ā -1 on the day and a 71-75—146 final tally.

Joe Muschong wrapped the event up with an even par performance, propelling him into a top-40 finish.

Blake Evans, who carded rounds of 77-71—148, tied for the team lead in pars with 25, including 17 in the second round.

The Eagles return to the links next weekend for a match play event against Northern Kentucky. The event tees off from Winchester Country Club on March 26.
