Muschong Finishes Top-20 as Eagles Wrap Up Sea Palms Invitational
MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State men's golf wrapped up their two-day event Saturday afternoon at the Sea Palms Invitational, finishing 18th. 
 
The Eagles were led by fifth-year Joe Muschong, who collected another top-20 finish by firing a 72-76-72—220. Muschong had the second-best scoring performance on par 5s among the loaded field, going -6 par on par 5s throughout the weekend, including recording an eagle in his final round. 
 
Fellow fifth-year Ryan Gillum opened the tournament strong with an even 71 in the first round, the lowest round score for any Eagle in the event. 
 
Zac Viminitz improved his score every round, carding a 84-80-74—238 and tied with Muschong for the team lead in birdies with seven. 
 
Cameron Travis and Nolan Piazza rounded out the quintet as the Eagles shot their best combined score in their final round. 
 
The Eagles return to stroke play next Sunday at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate. The three-day tournament tees off from Sevierville (Tenn.) Golf Club.
