Beach Eagles look to continue their momentum into the Second OVC Weekend of the Season
By Joe Yates, Morehead State Athletic Media Relations
MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State's Beach Volleyball team will be heading to Clarksville, Tenn., to compete in a four-match outing. They will face Eastern Illinois and UT Martin on Friday. On Saturday, they will face Chattanooga and Austin Peay. This is a big week for the Eagles, as their performance will likely dictate their seeding in the OVC Tournament - which MSU will host next weekend.
The Eagles will be first competing against Eastern Illinois (0-4) at 1:30 p.m. ET. With the previous 4-1 victory over the Panthers, MSU looks to complete the sweep. Set to play at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, the Eagles will face a challenge against top seed UT Martin (4-0). Saturday does not get much easier, with the first match starting at 9:30 a.m. against Chattanooga (2-2), and the finishing the OVC weekend against host Austin Peay (3-1) at 1:30 p.m.
The Eagles will be looking to continue the success from the last outing against the Louisville, hoping that success will fuel a comeback mentality as the Eagles dropped their first matches against Chattanooga, UT Martin, and Austin Peay earlier in the season.
