RESULTS (APSU | UTC) 

MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Staving off elimination twice and defeating two higher-seeded teams, the Morehead State Beach Volleyball team knocked off Austin Peay and Chattanooga Friday to advance to the OVC Tournament Championship match.

The 4-1 triumph over APSU and 3-0 blanking of UTC propelled the Eagles into the title match on their home sand Saturday at 11 a.m. ET against top seeded UT Martin. The Eagles narrowly fell 3-2 to the Skyhawks on Thursday.

The UTC win featured wins at the Nos. 3-5 pairings. At No. 3, Margaret Musselman and Anya Reinhard finished off the victory with a 21-13, 21-14 win. No. 4 Trinity Miller and Abby Hulsman gave the home team the lead with a 21-13, 21-17 win. Then, No. 5 Bridget Bessler and Raegan Alexander made it 2-0 by outlasting their foe, 21-17, 9-21, 15-9.

Nos. 1-2 went unfinished as the semifinal match was only played until a decision was final.

In the earlier APSU win, the Eagles claimed a trio of three-set wins. Olivia Lohmeier and Allison Whitten, at No. 1, won 21-18, 19-21, 15-13, while Musselman and Reinhard won 21-19, 9-21, 15-7 at No. 3. Bessler and Alexander also won in three, 21-16, 13-21, 15-9. 

The fourth win went to Miller and Hulsman at No. 4, 21-11, 21-14.
