MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Sydney Wyman, a 6-0 middle blocker, has transferred to Morehead State Volleyball after one season at Nevada.
Wyman, from Auberry, Calif., will be a sophomore in eligibility for the Eagles.
"I choose Morehead State because of the team culture in volleyball that the girls show on and off the court," she said. "I also chose Morehead State for the coaches because they truly care about their athletes and have created an environment I would love to be a part of."
Wyman appeared in 29 matches and 96 sets for the Wolfpack in 2021, compiling 99 kills and 68 blocks. She piled up a season-high five blocks in four different matches. She also smacked a season-high .700 percentage against Utah State.Â
"We're excited to officially welcome Sydney to the family," said head coach
Dr. Jaime Gordon. "She is a dynamic athlete who works hard and adds experience to our middle unit after a successful freshman year of college. She is extremely good attacking off of one foot, and brings a lot of energy and passion to the court when she plays."
She was the Valedictorian and starred in volleyball, track and basketball at Sierra High School. Wyman was named First-Team All-League and helped Sierra win a co-league championship.
She is the daughter of Brad and the late Amy Wyman and has one brother, Shane.
