SCHEDULE
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The annual Comfort Inn-Vitational, challenging tournaments at UNC Asheville, Michigan and Wyoming, and 13 total home matches highlight Morehead State's 2022 Volleyball schedule.
MSU won a share of its 18th total (regular-season and tournaments) Ohio Valley Conference title in the fall of 2021 after winning the regular season and the tournament in the spring season.
After opening with a home exhibition match against Xavier on Aug. 20, the Eagles will embark on consecutive tournament road trips. The opening event is at UNC Asheville on Aug. 26-27, with the exact schedule and opponents to be determined. The following weekend (Sept. 2-3), the Eagles will take to the road north for the Michigan Invitational, hosted by the Maize and Blue. The Eagles will face the host team, plus Loyola (Ill.) and Toledo.
Morehead State heads home for the first regular-season matches in Johnson Arena on Sept. 9-10 when it hosts the Comfort Inn-Vitational. This year's foes include Quinnipiac, North Alabama and Robert Morris.
On Sept. 15-16, the Eagles will board a plane for the west and the Uni-Wyo Invite at Wyoming, where MSU will match up with the host Cowgirls, Idaho and Nicholls State.
The OVC portion of the 2022 ledger commences on Sept. 22-23 at home against new member Lindenwood. The Eagles also host Tennessee State (Oct. 6-7), Eastern Illinois (Oct. 21-22), Tennessee Tech (Oct. 26) and a rematch of last fall's tournament championship match with Southeast Missouri (Nov. 11-12).
MSU will travel to face two of the other new members, Little Rock (Oct. 14-15) and Southern Indiana (Oct. 28-29).
