MOREHEAD, Ky. --Â Morehead State's women's golf's trio of
Hailey Rietz,
Bridget Connolly and
MacKenzie Neal have earned places on the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar list for 2021-22.
The program honors student-athletes who have maintained a 3.5 grade point average and competed in at least 50 percent of scheduled tournaments, making this arguably one of the most stringent student-athlete academic awards bestowed by a coaches organization.
"The team and I are incredibly proud of Hailey, Bridget and MacKenzie. They strive for excellence in their respective classes, are wonderful teammates, and perform at the highest level in our sport," said head coach
Stephanie Barker. "All three exemplify what it means to be a student-athlete and their efforts are extraordinary. Without question, the yearly support of Drew (Barnette) and Angie (Meyer) from our EAGLE Academic Center are a huge reason our team continues to thrive on and off the golf course."
Rietz is a rising fourth-year member of the team from Rancho Cordova, Calif. She named OVC Golfer of the Week on March 12 and scored a hole-in-one at the OVC Championship in the final round . Rietz competed in all 26 stroke-play rounds and 10 events on the season and had a stroke average of 77.2.

The Auckland, New Zealand native competed for four seasons after transferring from Western Illinois. Connolly was named to the OVC All-Conference team and was awarded OVC Golfer of Week twice this season. She competed in 26 stroke-play rounds and 10 events on the season and shot a season low of 71 at the Golfweek Fall Challenge.
