NOTABLE
- MSU sophomore middle blocker actually has experience on the other side of the net of Wyoming. Wyman played at Nevada in 2021, also in the Mountain West Conference, and had six kills and six blocks against the Cowgirls in two matches last fall.
- Senior setter
Bridget Bessler has climbed two more spots on the program's career assist list. Bessler, an 11-time OVC Setter of the Week, now has 3,173 career helpers, good enough for fifth place in career assists at Morehead State. Bessler also nearly had three consecutive double-doubles last weekend in the Comfort Inn-Vitational at home.
- Senior outside
Abby Hulsman earned All-Tournament for the Comfort Inn-Vitational following averaging 4.0 kills per set in the three matches. Hulsman drove down a season-high 20 kills versus Robert Morris, which marked the second 20+ kill match of her career. She is sitting on 666 career kills with 34 double-digit kill matches.
- Redshirt sophomore middle blocker
McKenzee Wagener now has 198 career total blocks, needing just two more to reach that milestone 200. She has accomplished that in just 202 sets played, averaging right at one block per set.
- Senior defensive specialist
Andrea Grimes is also one of the best servers for the Eagles. She leads the team with 12 aces and has served up at least one in every match in 2022.
- Sophomore defender
Peighton Isley has moved into the role as libero and has 66 digs in 2022, but 48 of those have come in the last three matches. Isley had a career-best 24 digs in a five-set loss to Robert Morris and has three straight double-digit dig totals.
- In the history of Eagle volleyball (since 1972), MSU has never had a player with a hometown in Wyoming, Idaho or Louisiana. In fact, only 14 of the thousands of student-athletes to suit up in blue and gold over the years have hailed from a hometown West of the Mississippi River.
