Wogenstahl Shines but Volleyball Falls in 3-set Sweep to Wyoming

Irene Wogenstahl finished with eight kills on the day while also finishing with a hitting percentage of .538, but attack errors proved costly as the Morehead State volleyball team fell to the Wyoming Cowgirls in three sets (16-25, 16-25, 21-25) Thursday on the road at UniWyo Sports Complex.

The non-conference loss in the UniWyo Invite dropped Morehead State to 3-6 on the season.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Eagles fell behind early, dropping a tough first set 25-16. Morehead State trailed by as many as 10 points as Wyoming grabbed the advantage for good at 6-5 in a set that was notted up five times before the Cowgirls took control.

SET 2 | Morehead State then lost the second set 25-16 to fall behind in the match 2-0. The Eagles trailed by as many as 11 points as Wyoming grabbed the advantage for good at 3-2 in a set that was tied up two times before the Cowgirls took over the lead.

SET 3 | Morehead State couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Eagles came up short by the score of 25-21. Morehead State trailed by as many as six points as Wyoming grabbed the advantage for good at 2-1 in a set that was tied up just once before the Cowgirls took over the lead.
