How It Happened
SET 1 | The Eagles fell behind 18-12 but an 8-1 run pushed MSU ahead 20-19. From there the teams jockeyed before the Eagles scored the final three to secure the two-point win. It marked the Eagles' seventh straight set win to open the 2022 season.
SET 2 | Loyola raced ahead 6-0 and really never looked back. MSU cut its deficit to 11-6 and 16-11 but never was able to trim it below five.
SET 3 | Morehead State went on top 3-0 early but the difference came when the set was tied at 16. LU scored the next two and went on a 5-1 run to effectively distance itself for the win.
SET 4 | The Eagles led 12-7 but saw Loyola score six of the next eight points to climb back into contention. MSU also had set point at 24-22 but a pair of kills and a block pushed the Ramblers over the top.
