Men's Golf Ready for Tournament in North Carolina Mountains This Week

MOREHEAD, Ky. – After a top-five finish in the last event, Morehead State men's golf will head to the mountains of North Carolina for the J.T. Poston Invitational Monday and Tuesday, an event hosted by Western Carolina. 

Head coach Matthew Martin will take Nolan Piazza, Logan Liles, Blake Evans, Cameron Travis and Logan McCormick to the Country Club of Sapphire Valley, which plays at 7,007 yards and par 71.

Piazza earned his spot at the top of the lineup by virtue of his career-best fifth place finish at the Grover Page Classic in Tennessee last week. Liles was not far behind with a consistent 72-71-72 scorecard. 

Morehead State will look for better results at the CCOSV this time around after finishing 13th last year. The 2019 Eagles did take a fourth place showing, however, at this course.
