EDWARDSVILLE, IL --The Morehead State volleyball team fell to the SIUE Cougars in three sets (14-25, 13-25, 16-25) Friday on the road at First Community Arena.
The loss dropped Morehead State's record to 6-8 overall and 2-1 in OVC play. MSU is still in search of a win at SIUE after not gaining victory there since 2012.

» M.E. Hargan had a team-high seven kills for Morehead State.
» Morehead State got a team-high 11 digs from Peighton Isley and Andrea Grimes.
» Morehead State attackers were helped by a match-high 24 assists from Bridget Bessler.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Eagles found themselves in an early hole, losing a tough first set 25-14. Morehead State trailed by as many as 11 points as SIUE never surrendered the lead in a set that was tied up six times before the Cougars took control.
SET 2 | Morehead State then lost the second set 25-13 to fall behind in the match two sets to none. Morehead State trailed by as many as 12 points as the Cougars grabbed the advantage for good at 2-1 in a set that was knotted up just once before the Cougars took over the lead.
SET 3 | SIUEÂ finished off the sweep with a set-three win. The Eagles lost a tough set 25-16. Morehead State trailed by as many as nine points as the home team grabbed the advantage for good at 4-3 in a set that was tied up two times before the Cougars took over the lead.
