Women's Hoops Return Home to Host Southeast Missouri

MOREHEAD, Ky. –
Women's hoops return to Johnson Arena Saturday for an afternoon matchup against SEMO.

The Eagles are coming off a road loss at Tennessee Tech, which saw two players score in double figures. Veronica Charles led the way with 14 points and five assists and Melissa Secchiaroli added 10 points.

SEMO is entering Saturday's contest with their first conference win after defeating Lindenwood 68-45. Sophie Bussard scored a game-high 14 points to lead the Redhawks, who leapt out to a 17-0 lead to start the game.

Tip-off is slated for 1:00 PM and can be found on ESPN+ or listened to on the Eagle Sports Radio Network.

• In addition to her 14 points, Veronica Charles notched a career-high five assists against Tennessee Tech.

• Freshman Valentina Saric provided a boost off the bench for the Eagles against Tennessee Tech, connecting on a pair of three-pointers to give her career-highs in points, field goals made, and assists.

• By outscoring Tennessee Tech 18-14 in the fourth quarter last game, the Eagles are now leading their opponents in fourth quarter scoring for the season 260-259.

• The Eagles have made five or more three-pointers in six consecutive contests, and this season, are 6-2 when making more three-pointers than their opponents.
