MOREHEAD, Ky. – For the first time in her collegiate career,
Jayden Rhodes has been tabbed OVC Freshman of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. Rhodes becomes the first Morehead State player to receive such honors since 2020.
After making her first collegiate start against Tennessee Tech, Rhodes has been a mainstay on the floor for Morehead State, averaging over 20 minutes per contest.
The 5-foot-11 forward has been dominate on both ends of the floor, pulling down a career-high nine rebounds against Lindenwood and posting a career-high 13 points against SIUE.
The Texas native led the charge on the offensive glass for the Eagles, pulling down 11 of their 28 offensive rebounds over the two games, leading to 22 second chance points.
Rhodes and the Eagles return to Johnson Arena Thursday, where they will meet with new OVC member Little Rock for the first time. Tip-off is slated for 5:00 PM ET.
