MOREHEAD, Ky. -- A pair of Eagles on the Morehead State volleyball team took home OVC Weekly awards on Monday after stellar performances in two wins over UT Martin, as
M.E. Hargan was named Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks, and
Peighton Isley earned her second consecutive Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Sophomore outside hitter
M.E. Hargan dominated on the offensive end for MSU, posting 47 kills across two matches (24 Friday, 23 Saturday) to lead the team. In addition to the kills, she added eight kills on Friday night and 14 on Saturday for a double-double, while blocking four shots in the two victories. The honor marks her second award of both the season and her career.

Peighton Isley has been the anchor of a nationally ranked Eagles' defense all season long, and has now won back-to-back Defensive Player of the Week awards. This week, Isley totaled 48 digs (23 Friday, 25 Saturday), averaging six per set, adding in 19 total assists with 10 on Friday (her second double-double of the season). She ranks 14th in the country in digs/set, while ranking 20th in total digs.
In total, Morehead State volleyball players have won six OVC Weekly Awards this year. Hargan's honor marks the 50th OVC Offensive Player of the Week in program history, while Isley's marks 34 OVC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Overall, the program has been bestowed with 163 OVC Weekly Honors.
Morehead State volleyball kicks off Homecoming Festivities this Thursday & Friday, as the Eagles host SIUE.
