• Morehead State nearly knocked off Big 10 foe Indiana Tuesday night, falling 69-68.
Jordan Lathon erupted for 30 points, including six three-pointers.
Riley Minix posted his OVC-best fifth double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
• Morehead State's 8-3 start was the best record after 11 games since also starting 8-3 in 1968-69.
• This is the second straight season the Eagles are leading the OVC in field goal percentage defense, but a difference this year is MSU is also leading the OVC in hitting field goals and accuracy. MSU's foes only hit 38 percent and just 29 percent from distance.
• Prior to the Indiana game, MSU shot 50 percent or better in five consecutive games. That was longest streak of hitting 50 percent or better in the 21st century.
• Morehead State ranks No. 1 or No. 2 in the OVC in 15 NCAA stats categories. The Eagles lead the entire league in 8 of those stats columns.

Drew Thelwell could become the winningest individual player in program history this season. If the Eagles win 12 more games, that will give the four-year Eagle 88 wins when he was on the team. That would surpass Terrence Hill, who was a part of 87 wins from 2008-09 through 2011-12.

Drew Thelwell dished out 13 assists against St. Mary-Of-The-Woods, a career high, and the most helpers for an individual Eagle since Miguel Dicent's 13 against Eastern Washington on Dec. 13, 2016. Thelwell ranks No. 1 in the OVC in assists (60), assists per game (5.0) and assist/turnover ratio (2.1). The MSU single-game record for assists is 16 by Jeff Fultz in 1983-84 and Kareem Storey in 2013-14.
