Women's Hoops Travels to Show Me State for Saturday Matinee

MOREHEAD, Ky. –
Women's hoops head to the Show Me State for an afternoon meeting with Southeast Missouri.

The Eagles are coming off a hard-fought 61-46 defeat at Little Rock, where they couldn't hold on to a halftime lead against the conference's best defense. Veronica Charles posted her fourth consecutive double-figure scoring performance, putting up 17 points in the contest.

SEMO is coming off a dramatic 90-86 overtime victory over Tennessee State, which saw the Redhawks lose a 15-point fourth quarter lead before rallying to pull out the win in the extra session.

Tip-off is slated for 3:00 PM and can be found on ESPN+ or listened to on the Eagle Sports Radio Network.

NOTABLE
• Valentina Saric has made at least one three pointer in each of her last nine games. She is the first Eagle to have such a streak of consecutive games with a made three pointer since 2018-19 season, where Aliyah Jeune made a three pointer in fifteen straight contests.

• In conference play this season, Hallie Rhodes has missed only two free throws, and has made every free throw attempt since January, 7th.

• The Eagles had an offensive outburst in their last meeting with the Redhawks (01/14). Two players, Sandra Lin and Sophie Benharouga posted double-doubles, while Veronica Charles and Valentina Saric joined them with double figure scoring.

• Veronica Charles has 72 steals this season, giving her one more than Almesha Jones in the 2013-14 season, putting her 7th for most steals in a single season for Morehead State. She is now two steals away from Crystal Simmons-Cozar's 74 in 2018-19.
