MOREHEAD, Ky. – Women's golf wrapped up play at the Rivertowne Intercollegiate Tuesday afternoon, finishing tied for 10th in the field.
As a team, the Eagles carded rounds of 290-292-316—898 and had success on par 4 scoring, finishing tied for second where they averaged 4.03, and were third in the tournament in birdies with 29.
Tuva Marie Isebakke led the team, finishing in the top-20 for the first time in her collegiate career. The Norwegian native fashioned rounds of 71-71-78—220 and was successful on par 4 scoring, firing an average of 4.07, and had eight birdies throughout the event.
MacKenzie Neal cracked a top-30 performance in the loaded field, carding rounds of 74-72-77—223 and was also successful on par 4 scoring alongside Isebakke.
Olivia Hensley fired rounds of 74-74-79—227 and carded eight birdies including three consecutive birdies in the second round.
Hailey Rietz carded rounds of 75-75-81—231 and
Ruth Tonnessen tied for the lowest round among the Eagles with her first round 71 and
Hanna Montgomery, who played as an individual, she fashioned rounds of 77-78-80—235 and finished with seven birdies.
The Eagles return to the links Mar. 13-14 at the Spring Break Shootout hosted by Western Kentucky University. The two-day tournament tees off from Lake Jovita, Fla.
