RESULTS (ERSKINE | CARSON-NEWMAN)
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Beach Volleyball was on opposite ends of a pair of 4-1 matches Saturday in the Volunteer State at Carson-Newman. The Eagles topped Erskine (S.C.) 4-1 before falling to the host C-N Eagles 4-1.
Morehead State now sits at 4-2 on the 2023 season.
The pair of
Abby Hulsman and
Anya Reinhard were the high point for MSU, winning both their matches in straight sets at No. 3.
Also, in the Erskine victory,
Sydney Wyman and
Trinity Miller won in straight sets at the top at No. 1.
Irene Wogenstahl and
Bridget Bessler also claimed a straight-set winner at No. 2.
Brenna Bommer and
Andrea Grimes rounded out the triumph with wins in both their sets at No. 5. Also, in the extra pair,
Kinsey McAfee and
Kaylin Livingston won.Â
Despite the setback against Carson-Newman, which is now 17-0, the extra pair of
M.E. Hargan and
Shea Hefner won in straight sets.
Morehead State now looks ahead to its home opener, with a pair of matches against Tusculum (Tenn.) on March 20 at 1 and 3 p.m. ET. A Women's History event will take place with the matches.
