RESULTS (MATCH 1 | MATCH 2)
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Beach Volleyball had a tough time on Saturday, falling in a double dual at Eastern Kentucky. The Colonels topped the Eagles twice, 5-0.
EKU won all five duals in the first match by straight sets. Morehead State slipped to 8-10 on the season.
In the second match of the day, three Eagle pairs took their battles to three sets before falling. At No.2,
Abby Hulsman and
Anya Reinhard fought back to win 21-13 after dropping the first set. They were edged 15-13 in their finale.
Kinsey McAfee and
Bridget Bessler had the same result, winning set 2 21-19 before absorbing a 15-9 set-three result.
At No. 5
Peighton Isley and
Andrea Grimes dropped a 21-9 opening frame but evened their match with a 21-14 set-two winner. The ultimately lost though, 15-7, in the third.Â
MSU is back in action at home on April 21-22, hosting the second OVC weekend that Friday and Saturday all day.
