MOREHEAD, Ky. – For the second time in program history and first time since 2011, women's golf is headed to the NCAA Tournament.
The Eagles, who were led by four top-5 finishes at the OVC Championship, claimed the top spot by 15 strokes over second place finisher Little Rock.
Freshman
Ruth Tonnessen will head the Eagles lineup after a dominating performance at the event, where she claimed medalist honors and was named Player and Freshman of the Year.
Stephanie Barker, who was named Coach of the Year, employs a lineup of
Olivia Hensley,
MacKenzie Neal, and
Tuva Marie Isebakke, who were all named to the All-Tournament team alongside Tonnessen.
Sophomore
Hanna Montgomery will round out the Eagle quintet after claiming her second top-20 finish of the season at the event.
The three-day, 54-hole tournament tees off Monday from The Club at Chatham Hills.
