MOREHEAD, KY --The Morehead State volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 victory (25-14, 25-15, 25-11) against the Queens Royals Friday at home at Johnson Arena.
The non-conference win boosted the Eagles' overall record to 2-0 on the season.
The Eagle offense was paced by Amelia Nott, who finished with 14 kills on the day while accumulating a hitting percentage of .542, and by Maycie Welborn, who had 10 while hitting .450. Irene Wogenstahl put together a fine performance as well, posting seven kills with a .353 hitting percentage and three blocks, while M.E. Hargan had nine kills.Â
Defensively, had three players reach double figures in digs, including Peighton Isley's 24, 14 from Hargan, and 14 more from Shea Hefner, holding the Royals to a -.024 hitting percentage.Â

SET 3 | Morehead State took set three to finish the match in a 3-0 sweep. The Eagles grabbed control of the set early when the score was 4-3 and never looked back to win 25-11. Morehead State led by 15 points at 24-9 before closing out the stanza, collecting 16 kills along the way.
