MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Following a 3-0 showing in last weekend's Eagle Challenge, the Morehead State volleyball team heads east on I-64 for the season's first road trip for three matches in the Marshall Invitational. 
The Eagles are set to play the hosting Herd on Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. ET before matches with Akron and Coppin State on Friday at 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, respectively. The match vs. Marshall will be streamed live on ESPN+, and live stats will be available for all three.

SERIES HISTORY
	- Morehead State vs. Marshall
	
		- Morehead State holds a 44-21 all-time record vs. The Herd. The last three meetings between the two schools have gone to a fifth set. The Eagles are 21-8 in Huntington. The last meeting between the two schools came in 2019, with Marshall taking a highly competitive match 3-2.

	- Head Coach Kyrsten Becker-McBride's 3-0 start to her career makes her just the second coach in Morehead State volleyball history to begin her head coaching career 3-0 (Dr. Jaime Gordon, 2003), and the first ever to begin a career with three straight sweeps. 
 
	- M.E. Hargan took home Eagle Challenge MVP honors this past weekend after posting 31 kills and a total of 37.5 poimts in three matches. She nearly posted double-doubles vs. Queens (9 kills, 14 digs) and USC Upstate (12 kills, 9 digs) on her way to the All-Tournament Team. 
 
	- Peighton Isley also made the Eagle Challenge All-Tournament Team thanks to spectacular defense on her part. Isley posted 58 digs in three matches, and her 6.44 digs per set ranks second in all of Division I. 
 
	- Freshman Amelia Nott leads the team in hitting percentage after three matches at an astounding .424. In her first two matches at the collegiate level, Nott posted a .571 % vs. Stonehill with nine kills and a .542 % vs. Queens with 14 kills. 
 
	- Brenna Bommer's 11.33 assists per set ranks her in the nation's top 20 in the category. Bommer had 30+ assists in all three matches. 
 
	- As a team, Morehead State ranks in the nation's top 50 in five statistical categories: digs per set (5th), opponent hitting percentage (11th), assists per set (T-16th), kills per set (T-17th), and hitting percentage (49th).Â
