HUNTINGTON, WV --The Morehead State volleyball team fell to the Coppin State Lady Eagles 3-0 (16-25, 18-25, 21-25) Friday in the Marshall Invitational in Huntington.
The non-conference loss dropped Morehead State to 4-2 on the season.
M.E. Hargan finished with eight kills on the day to lead the Eagles attack, while Morehead State got 10 digs from Peighton Isley to lead them defensively.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SET 1 | The Eagles fell behind early, dropping a tough first set 25-16. Morehead State trailed by as many as nine points as Coppin State never gave up the lead in a set that was notted up four times before the Lady Eagles took control.
SET 2 | A 25-18 set-two loss put Morehead State behind two sets to none in the match. Morehead State trailed by as many as nine points as Coppin State grabbed the advantage for good at 11-10 in a set that was tied up four times before the Lady Eagles took over the lead.
SET 3 | Coppin State finished off the sweep with a set-three win. The Eagles came up short by the score of 25-21. Coppin State grabbed the advantage for good at 15-14 in a set that was tied up five times before the Lady Eagles took over in the second half of the stanza.
Following a week of preparation, the Morehead State volleyball team hosts the annual Comfort Inn-Vitational next weekend.Â
