MOREHEAD, Ky. -- For the past 20 years, Morehead State volleyball has no doubt been the most successful program in the Ohio Valley Conference and, in conjunction with the MSU Alumni Association, the Eagles will celebrate that sustained success with a reunion scheduled for the weekend of Oct. 13-14.
Starting with former head coach Dr. Jaime Gordon's first season in 2003 until head coach
Kyrsten Becker-McBride's first season in 2023, the event will celebrate all players and staff who helped bring 12 OVC championships (regular season and tournaments) home.Â
The Eagles will host Southern Indiana on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 13-14, and
registration (which is only $50)Â includes admission to both volleyball matches and all reunion activities. A contribution to the Eagle Volleyball and Beach Volleyball Funds is also included in the registration price.Â
A pre-match reception will take place on Oct. 13 at 4 p.m. ET, preceding the 6 p.m. match in Johnson Arena.
On Saturday, a coffee hour will take place at Giovanni's Breadstick Beach (located up the hill from Johnson Arena) where individuals can compete in beach volleyball. Following, a brunch is scheduled at 11 a.m. in the Adron Doran University Center. The Eagles take on USI at 2 p.m., and then a post-match social is set for approximately 5 p.m. at Sawstone Brewing on Main Street in Morehead.
