MOREHEAD, Ky. –  After a 1-2 finish at the Marshall Invitational, the Morehead State volleyball team returns home to Johnson Arena for the annual Comfort Inn-Vitational, marking the 17
th event hosted by Morehead State sponsored by Comfort Inn.
The field features in-state rival Northern Kentucky, with Butler and Indiana State making the trip to Morehead as well.
All three Eagle matches will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Dean Hardin calling the action. Live stats will be available for all six matches at the tournament.
Morehead State takes on the Indiana State Sycamores to get things started on Friday at 11:00 a.m. ET, and caps off day one with a 7:00 p.m. ET match vs. Northern Kentucky. The tournament finale is the final match for Morehead State this weekend, as the Eagles take on Butler at 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
Three matches between members of the field will take place as well, as NKU faces Butler (Friday, 1:00 p.m.), Butler takes on Indiana State (Friday, 4:30 p.m.) and Indiana State matches up with NKU (Saturday, 11:00 a.m.).

- Morehead State is 0-4 vs. the Butler Bulldogs, with the last match coming in 2013 (Neutral Site, Cincinnati, Ohio).
- MSU vs. INDIANA STATE
- Morehead State is 3-4-1 vs. the Indiana State Sycamores, with ISU taking the last match in 2016. At home, MSU is 2-1 vs. ISU.
- MSU vs. NORTHERN KENTUCKY
- Morehead State is 14-20-1 vs. the Norse of Northern Kentucky, with the last match coming in 2016 at the Eagle Challenge.
NOTABLE
- Morehead State is undefeated in both matches and sets in 2023 at Johnson Arena, sweeping Stonehill, Queens, and USC Upstate in the Eagle Challenge.
- Freshman middle blocker Hollan Everett took home OVC Freshman of the Week after the Marshall Invitational, thanks in part to a 15-kill effort vs. Akron. The Norris City, Illinois native ranks second in the team in kills this season with 50.
- The lone Eagle to make the Marshall Invitational's All-Tournament team was Irene Wogenstahl. In three matches, Wogenstahl posted 23 kills (12 vs. Marshall) and 11 blocks (six vs. Akron). She leads the team in hitting percentage at .370, ranking fourth in the OVC.
- Brenna Bommer ranks second in the Ohio Valley Conference in assists per set at 10.37. She has posted 30+ assists in four of six matches this season, with a season high 39 vs. Marshall.
- Morehead State has posted 31 service aces this season, led by eight from Amelia Nott and Shea Hefner. Not far behind them is Courtney Fitzgerald with seven.
- Peighton Isley is third in the OVC in digs per set at 4.74, with 90 total digs in 19 sets.
- M.E. Hargan's double-double vs. Akron was the first by an Eagle this season and the first of her collegiate career.
