NOTABLE
Kalil Thomas and Jordan Lathon both scored their 1,000th career college points in the same game - vs. Western Illinois last Saturday. Thomas now has 1,008 career markers with Lathon's total at 1,006. Technically, the Eagles have 4 current rosterees with 1,000+ college points - Lathon, Thomas, Riley Minix (2,441) and Mark Freeman (inactive currently but 1,280 college points).

• With the win over WIU last weekend, head coach Preston Spradlin tied former coach Wayne Martin with 130 coaching wins and third place in wins among all the men's basketball head coaches in program history.

• MSU is the only OVC team with an overall road record above .500 (6-5).

• Morehead State has finished with a higher field goal percentage than 16 different opponents this season.

Drew Thelwell ranks among the best players in the nation in NOT fouling. He has only committed 14 fouls in 697 minutes of action, or once every 49 minutes!

Riley Minix (394 points) and Jordan Lathon (335 points) are on track to give MSU TWO players with 400+ points in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2009-10 and 2010-11 (Demonte Harper and Kenneth Faried). Last season Mark Freeman and Alex Gross both finished with 400+ points for the year.

Riley Minix has only been held to less than double digit scoring in just one game this season, at Penn State. He has eight 20+ point efforts, and his 18.8 scoring average is currently at its highest of the season. Minix has scored 2,441 career college points.

• MSU has won 13 individual weekly league honors this season. Riley Minix earned his fourth OVC Player and Newcomer of the Week honor last week, while Eddie Ricks III was named Freshman of the Week for the second time this season. Jordan Lathon has also won weekly honors this season.

Drew Thelwell is just four wins away from becoming the winningest individual player in program history. The program standard for success is 88 by Terrence Hill from 2008-09 to 2011-12.

Riley Minix is on the Lou Henson Award Watch list, an accolade honoring the nation's top player from Mid-Major conferences. He is shooting 62 percent in conference games with a team-best 21.5 ppg in league action.

Riley Minix has recorded 67 career double-doubles in his time at MSU (OVC-best 9) and Southeastern (Fla.) (58). An NAIA All-American, Minix was also the 2022-23 NAIA Academic All-American of the Year.

Drew Thelwell ranks first in the OVC and 11th nationally with 130 assists. Amazingly, Thelwell's assist total is 49 more than the next highest-ranked assister in the OVC (two players with 81). He has 14 games with 5+ assists.

Kalil Thomas has made at least one three-pointer in 19 of the Eagles' 21 games and has hit 3+ in nine different games.

• Morehead State, the OVC's only remaining team in Kentucky, is easily the winningest Division I MBB program in the state in the past four seasons with 84 wins.
