MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Great Crossing High School (Georgetown, Ky.) standout Vince Dawson III will be joining the Morehead State Men's Basketball program.
Dawson, from Georgetown, is a 6-6 forward who helped GCHS to the Kentucky Sweet 16 semifinals in 2023-24.

Jonathan Mattox. "He has a legitimate chance to win a state championship this season. He is a versatile player who can really shoot it from the perimeter, has defensive toughness and competes on the glass. We're very excited we were able to get him and keep him close to home."
Dawson averaged a team-best a 17.8 points per game last year, draining a team-high 63 three-pointers. He also averaged 5.7 rebounds per game.
He shot 53 percent overall and hit 38 percent from three-point range. Dawson has been a solid free throw shooter at 75 percent. As a junior, he averaged 15.8 points and 4.5 rebounds while hitting 50 percent from the floor.
He has also competed for Brad Beal Elite and Griffin Elite on the AAU circuit.
