MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Following its dramatic overtime win Thursday, Morehead State Men's Basketball will look to move to 2-0 in the OVC race when Tennessee State visits Johnsaon Arena Saturday. Game time is 3:30 p.m. ET after the women's contest.
Saturday's games include the holiday spirit promotions, with door prizes and the opportunity to visit with Santa.
Morehead State has won eight consecutive games versus Tennessee State and five straight home games versus the Tigers. The last TSU win in the series was an overtime contest in the OVC Tournament first round on March 4, 2020.

NOTABLE
• Since 2015, TSU has only won two games against the Eagles at Johnson Arena.
• Morehead State has nearly half of its season total for blocked shots (34) just in the last two games. MSU has 15 blocked shots in the last two, including a season-best nine rejections vs. UT Martin Thursday.
• MSU is 24-2 in home games since Jan. 26, 2023 - three seasons ago. MSU was 14-1 at home last season and has won six straight home games.
• Morehead State has now won seven straight overtime games dating back to the March 4, 2020 loss in extra time versus Tennessee State. MSU scored the final six points in the final 1:18 of overtime Thursday to defeat UT Martin.

Jerone Morton set four career highs in Thursday's victory over UTM - points (18), assists (7), field goals made (7) and three-pointers made (2). He scored the game-tying basket with 27 seconds left in regulation and then hit the game-winner with 15 seconds left in overtime.
• In seven of the 11 games in 2024-25, Morehead State has more assists than its opponent.
• Morehead State has managed to hit better than 40 percent from three-point range in three of the last four games. In the last six games, MSU has made 47 three-pointers (7.8/game).
• Morehead State leads the Ohio Valley Conference in free throw attempts per game at 24.0. The Eagles have had only two games this year (at Cincinnati and at home vs. UT Martin) where they did NOT have more than 20 free throw attempts.
• MSU averages 32.4 points in the paint on the season, including a season-high 46 against Kentucky Christian.
