MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Rifle is set for its penultimate match of the 2023-24 season Saturday when Virginia Military Institute comes to Button Rifle Range. The match begins at 8 a.m. ET.
The Eagles are coming off a second place finish in the OVC Championships, also at home, last weekend. Last season, MSU topped VMI by more than 100 points.
Head Coach
Alan Joseph will send these lineups to the firing line. In Smallbore, it will be:
Adrianna Beard,
Bryce Ward,
Andrew Morris,
Holly Freeman and
Maria Koenig. On the Air range, it will be: Beard, Morris, Koenig, Ward and
Hayden Bell.
With
Grace Weber's graduation in the fall, Beard now leads the current Eagles with an 1165.5 aggregate average. She also leads in Air scoring at 587.9. This will mark Ward's final home match for his career as he leads the team in Smallbore average at 579.5.
MSU's final regular-season match is then set for Feb. 17 with a 9 a.m. first shot for the NCAA Qualfier at Kentucky.
