Women's Hoops Set for Senior Day Showdown with Lindenwood

MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Morehead State women's basketball team is set to honor senior guard Veronica Charles on Saturday, as the Eagles host Lindenwood on Senior Day at Johnson Arena. 

The Eagles will be either the No. 5 or No. 6 seed at next week's OVC Tournament in Evansville. A loss places the Eagles in the No. 6 spot. 

Tip-off from Johnson Arena is set for 1:00 p.m. ET, with fans not in attendance able to catch the action live on ESPN+. Fans can also listen along on the Eagle Sports Network, where Tom Lewis will be on the call.

• Veronica Charles is the lone senior being honored on Saturday. 
• Charles has scored 20+ four times this season, including in each of her last two games. She scored 31 at Western Illinois last Thursday and 24 vs. SEMO in her last game. 
• Blessing King is averaging 11.5 rebounds per game in conference play, ranking second in the conference in the statistic. She has a season-high of 18 rebounds, which came on Feb. 20 vs. USI. 
• Hallie Rhodes had 12 points and nine rebounds on Thursday vs. SEMO, and has 19 games with 10+ points this season. 
• Hannah Hicks posted a new season-high with seven points on Thursday. She has a season-high of 11 rebounds, all of which came in the second half of MSU's loss at Louisville in December. 
• Melissa Secchiaroli hit a pair of threes on Thursday night, and ranks fourth on the team in made threes.
