EVANSVILLE, IN --The Morehead State Eagles were not able to score a run against Southern Indiana pitcher junior Josie Newman on Sunday and were shut out 8-0 by the Screaming Eagles.
Freshman Addie Stem (3-9) got the ball to start for Morehead State (7-11, 1-5) and took the loss.
In the batter's box, the Eagles were led by Trinity Spear, who went 1-for-2 on the day.

Morehead State did not advance a runner past second base in the game. The Eagles went 0-for-3 with runners in scoring position, last placing a runner as far as second in the third, when freshman Sela Pickford made it into scoring position with nobody out.
