MARTIN, TN --The Morehead State Eagles were not able to score a run against UT Martin pitcher Katie Dreiling on Saturday and were shut out 10-0 by the Skyhawks.
Freshman Addie Stem (5-12) started and took the loss in the circle for Morehead State (10-22, 4-15). Stem pitched 1.1 innings before yielding to Cassiti Baroni. Stem allowed six runs (all earned) on six hits. She did not have a walk or strikeout. Baroni finished the game by throwing the final 2.2 innings. She surrendered five hits with four runs (all earned), with a strikeout and a walk.
In the batter's box, the Eagles were paced by freshman Sela Pickford, who went 0-for-1 on the day with two walks. Fifth-year player Trinity Spear and sophomore Taikibrea Campbell each had hits for the Blue and Gold.
It was the Eagles eighth straight defeat and fifth in a row on the road, and dropped its al-time record against UT Martin to 60-21. The Skyhaws improved to 12-4 at home and claimed both their third consecutive win overall and third straight at home. The result pushed UT Martin's overall record to 25-18. Dreiling improved to 7-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The hosts put six runs on the board in the second, and then added one in the third and three in the fourth to brring the game to a close after five innings.
Morehead State managed one chance with runners on third in the shutout, going a total of 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position. The Eagles last got a runner on third in the first, when Pickford made it 60Â feet away from scoring with one out.
