SCHEDULE
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Head Coach Jason Woodman's first football season leading the Morehead State Eagles will feature a schedule highlighted by six home games, including a Thursday night season opener, and trips to 2023 FCS national runner-up Montana and nearby rival Eastern Kentucky.
Ticket information, official kick-off times, tailgating information and promotions for the home games will be released at a later time. All home games will continue to be shown on ESPN+.
The schedule will see MSU host games at Jayne Stadium on five Saturdays and the Thursday night season lid-lifter against Central State (Ohio) on August 29. The Marauders are a Division II program in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association, located in Wilberforce, Ohio. They were 5-5 last fall.
Morehead State will also host Kentucky Christian on Sept. 7 for Family Weekend. KCU was 1-10 in 2023.
PFL home games include Valparaiso on Sept. 28, Presbyterian for Homecoming on Oct. 12, St. Thomas on Nov. 2 and the season finale on Nov. 23 versus San Diego.
Following the two home games to open the campaign, MSU will fly out west to Missoula, Mont., to face the Grizzlies on Sept. 14. Two seasons ago, MSU traveled to face Montana's in-state rival Montana State. The Grizzlies finished 13-2 before falling to South Dakota State in the FCS national title game.
Morehead State will make the short trek to Richmond, Ky., on Sept. 21. The Eagles last faced former OVC rival EKU to open the 2018 season. The Colonels were 5-6 in 2023.
The Eagles will hit the road for conference games on Oct. 5 at Butler, Oct. 26 at Dayton, Nov. 9 at Davidson and Nov. 16 at Drake. Drake won the PFL championship last fall, and MSU prevented Davidson from claiming a share of the league crown when the Eagles knocked off the Wildcats 47-17 at home in November.
