Morehead, Ky. -- The Morehead State women's basketball team wraps up a four-game road swing Saturday afternoon in Cape Girardeau, Mo., as they visit Southeastern Missouri in Ohio Valley Conference action. The game can be heard on the Eagle Sports Network (flagship WIVY 96.3 FM) with Tom Lewis and Wes Holland on the call. It can also be seen on ESPN+. Tipoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET.
Morehead State is coming off a 69-59 loss at Little Rock Thursday afternoon. After leading after the first quarter 17-13, Morehead State was outscored 19-9 in the second period. Scoring droughts to end both the second and third quarters totaling over eight minutes of play hampered the Eagles' effort. MSU was led by
Chrishawn Coleman and
Alyssa Berry who scored 11 points apiece.
Southeast Missouri got off to a quick start Thursday at home against Southern Indiana, leading 24-14 after the first quarter. The Redhawks were then overwhelmed by a barrage from the visiting Screaming Eagles, who shot 68% from the field in the final three quarters and ran away with a 93-69 win. SEMO was led by former Morehead State player
Skylar Barnes, who dropped in 21 points. Zoe Best added 20 and newcomer Da'Kariya Jackson added 15 in her SEMO debut.

NOTABLE
• It has been a roller coaster this season for the Eagles at the free throw line. In Morehead State's
first seven games of the season, MSU shot just 59% (73-124) from the line. In MSU's next five
games (which includes their first two OVC conference games), the Eagles shot 72.5%. In their last
three games (at USI, at Tennessee Tech and at Little Rock) Morehead State shot just 56.4% (31-
55). For their part, SEMO has been excellent from the charity stripe this season. In OVC conference
play, the Redhawks have gone 76-90 for 84.4%, led by Zoe Best at 94.4% tops in the OVC in

Skylar Barnes is hitting at a 92.9% clip in OVC play.
• Morehead State ranks first in the Ohio Valley Conference with 12 steals per game (that ranks
26th nationally). MSU ranks second in blocked shots (4.0 per game, 63rd nationally) behind Tennessee
Tech (4.8 per game, 30th nationally).
• MSU was out-rebounded Thursday at Little Rock 34-32. The Eagles have been out-rebounded in
four of the five conference games they have played. In conference play, MSU has a -3.40 rebound
margin, 7th in the OVC. Southeast Missouri has a -5.40 rebound margin, which ranks 10th in the
OVC.
• Morehead State ranks second in the OVC averaging 71.6 points per game on the season. In conference
games however, the Eagles are averaging 63.6 points per game, which ranks 8th. SEMO
isd averaging 67.0 ppg in league play, which ranks 6th in the OVC.

Chrishawn Coleman led Morehead State (along with
Alyssa Berry) with 11 points Thursday
at Little Rock. For the season the freshman is averaging 8.9 points per game, third-most on the
team. In OVC conference play, she leads the team scoring at a 11.4 clip. She has garnered OVC
Freshman of the Week honors twice this year.

Alyssa Berry has scored 11 points for two straight games. At Tennessee Tech last Saturday she
was a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line.

Kate Novik was held to six points Thursday at Little Rock, just the third game this season she
has failed to score in double figures. The other games were at Louisville (11/21) and against UT
Martin (12/19). She is averaging 13.9 points per game which leads the team and ranks 8th in the
OVC. In the five conference games, she is averaging 9.2 ppg.

Maia Rosarion has stepped up her game with the beginning of league play. She leads MSU in
league play averaging 6.4 rebounds per game, which ranks 8th in the conference. Through the five
conference games, she has hit 15 of her 25 field goal attempts (60%).
• Southeast Missouri will let it fly: the Redhawks have taken 325 three-point attempts. Their 23.2
three-point attempts per game is the highest rate in the OVC. On the season, SEMO has hit 31.1%
from beyond the arc.
• Morehead State will see a familiar face in a SEMO uniform: former Eagle
Skylar Barnes made her
way to Cape Girardeau through the transfer portal last spring. She's coming off a big game Thursday;
scoring 21 points going 8-15 from the floor against Southern Indiana. She's averaging 8.5 ppg
on the season and 11.6 ppg in league play. In her last two games, she has shot 14-27 (52%) from
the field.
• SEMO has three players averaging in double figures on the season, led by Zoe Best at15.4 ppg
(19.0 in OVC play, which ranks 3rd). Indiya Bowen averages 10.0 per game. Newcomer Da'Kariya
Jackson made her SEMO debut Thursday against after transferring from Louisiana Tech and scored
15 points. She averaged 12.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game at Three Rivers College (Mo.) last
season and was named a 2nd-Team All-NJCAA All-American Team.
